Hi,
Have you thought about having your students actually make the materials? You could bring in some construction paper, and have your students draw and cut out the different types of athletes, and the different athletic sports that will be featured in the Olympics.
This would not only build their vocabulary, as far as what the athletes are called in English, and you focus in on what sports they do and the action verbs that the athlete does.
You could also use it to teach about winning, losing, sportsmanship etc. The types of clothing, different countries and a whole lot more.
That's what is so great about the Olympics. It opens so many doors. Let us know how you did.
And if anyone finds, or knows of some resources out there, please let us know.
